Prep Software Vista
I just bought a Vaio. It came with bloatware. Can I do a fresh install to remove it?
Vaio comes with 43 programs of bloatware ... Most versions of software testing. Startup time is molasses. I get a free copy of Vista or XP in my school. I hesitate between installing a new version or even a new version of XP. 1) Would it be helpful if I make a new installation or should I have to look for drivers too? 2) If I choose between Vista and XP, should I go? I understand that some preparatory work should be done to install XP after Vista. This intensive preparation work? How do I know what drivers I need?
I have a Vaio myself. I will not do a new facility in my opinion, because I have a new installation, but can be a pain in the butt to download all the drivers. I also had connectivity problems, because when you perform a clean install will not VAIO Smart Network and solves problems with the connection wireless that you may encounter. If you decide to do a clean install, you can get drivers http://esupport.sony.com/ and looking at the model number and we refer you to an information page about your VAIO, such as FAQs, drivers / software updates, and tutorials. EDIT: Actually no drivers too, the most important things you need to do a clean install is: Wireless Adapter (self-explanatory - Connect to the Internet) and video controller (to set the resolution on the computer) about XP, there are several things you see when you install XP on a computer with Vista preinstalled, such as: low battery time (not much lower, but as 10-30min), is unable to adjust brightness are just some of the things seen when I installed XP on my Vaio. If you can handle the things you have to drive, even if it was not a big deal to go to XP on my computer, knowing that I have 2.5 GB of RAM =)
